In Chinese Medicine, stress can be categorized in two. One is by internal and the other is from outside factor. Internally generating factor is due to 7 emotions we have, which are happiness, sadness, anger, rigidness, resentment, excitement, and cheerfulness. 7 emotions need to be balanced and well managed with our healthy mind. If 7 emotions go out of control, it turns into 7 internal revolts. The externally causing stress varies. It can be from environmental and/or social. The external factors stir up 7 emotions to cause the internal stress. Chinese medical conditions like heart Qi deficiency, gallbladder revolting Qi, liver resentment by stagnation etc. are all treatable and closely related to everyday stress we experience.
