Water in Chinese Medicine

In Chinese, water is shuǐ(水), of which character is followed after its shape of flowing water. Water is essential in Chinese Medicine. Its characteristic of flowing nature describes the nature of Qi (the nature force, vital force) of the human body. Water which runs similar path with Qi runs around and inward toward the human body and interact with outside environments to receive Qi of nature to be able to function body circulation. Without water, none exists.
